The working day can be very unpredictable and you could find yourself spending the entire morning Organising activities and the afternoon providing 1:1 support.

Rate of Pay: 13.71-14.07per hour dependent with a 30.00 additional sleep in rate

We have our very own Management Development Programme to take those interested from Support Worker to Registered Manager and beyond


Requirements:


Must hold a full UK driving licence


Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce


12 months experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable but we do also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey


Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.


Whilst we endeavour to keep the recruitment process as short as possible due to the nature of these important checks it may extend the processing time.


Duties:


Delivering the highest quality care for our children

Offering guidance, support and structure to their everyday lives

Supporting the young people to engage and access education

Promoting a healthy life style and positive living choices

Accessing clinically led training to improve your skills and develop practise

Household duties

Record keeping and report writing

Days out (e.g. social events, shopping, cinema, swimming)

Contacts, visit, key work meeting and therapy sessions

Providing transport for the young people to access different provisions




Cambian are committed to promoting the safeguarding and welfare of all children within our care. All applicants must be willing to undergo and enhanced DBS check and must be able to provide at least two references covering the past two years. Applicants must also provide information for all positions related to working with children and the vulnerable and details of employment going back to full time education.
