THE COMPANY & PURPOSE:



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join our operations team working for a market leader within the automotive sector, Universal Components UK, based in Hoyland, Barnsley.

The hours of work would be 40 per week (06:00 to 14:45)

Monday to Friday with a view to move to Tuesday to Saturday

FLT qualification is desirable but not essential

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD BE:



Responsible for the daily running of Inbound and Export processes and team members, which includes the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPI's) for yourself and team members which will form part of your appraisal.

Manage and coach direct reports ensuring they understood their duties and the processes in place within the department.

Control and manage all export routines (picking & packing) ensuring thorough audits are carried out regularly.

Ensuring Goods in procedures are being followed consistently.

Ensure all logistics have departed on time without any issues.

Conducting daily audits to ensure all processes are being maintained correctly and in line with the company standards, looking for efficiencies where possible.

Responsible for the following checks throughout the shift:

o Ensuring all consignments and packing will meet the collection time for courier.

o The warehouse is in good order to include housekeeping duties and set up for the next day.

o All product is put back in stock.

Performance management, formalising conversations covering all aspects of concerns with team members, escalating further to HR if required.

Liaising with Warehouse Manager regarding training requirements within your team.

Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.

Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded, where required prepare for any overtime needs and ensure you support your team with this request.

Conducting nightshift handover to days, reporting all tasks completed on the shift and clearly stating anything outstanding or any concerns that may have arisen.
