Image on Food Ltd are one of the leading gingerbread manufacturers in the UK through our brands Original Biscuit Bakers and Billingtons Gingerbread. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a proactive and experienced

Team Leader

to oversee production operations, drive efficiency, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of production operatives to meet daily production targets. Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards are maintained throughout the production process. Monitor and manage team performance, providing coaching and support to maximize efficiency. Organise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring smooth production and minimizing downtime. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for operational improvement Work closely with other departments, including Quality Assurance and Maintenance, to resolve production issues. Conduct regular team briefings and communicate company updates and goals effectively. Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly. Maintain accurate records of production data, shift reports, and staff performance. Support and train new team members to maintain high standards of work.

Skills

Previous experience in a

team leader or supervisory role

within a food manufacturing or production environment. Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and quality control procedures. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to improving processes Strong numerical skills

Salary and Hours

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, 8:30am - 5pm Salary 31,375 per annum
