Long Meadow Care Home is a 43-bed residential and dementia care home based in Ripon. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated

Team Leader

to join our care team.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will take accountability for leading and supporting the care team during your shift, ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered. You will also play a key role in developing and supporting your colleagues to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the care team while on shift. Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately. Complete pre-admission assessments for prospective residents and oversee the full admission process. Write, maintain, and review care plans in line with residents' changing needs. Carry out "Resident of the Day" reviews. Lead team meetings to ensure effective communication and high-quality care standards. Complete staff inductions, supervisions, and appraisals to support development and performance. Work closely with healthcare professionals and external agencies on a daily basis. Ensure compliance with care home policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Requirements

Previous experience in a residential or dementia care setting. Proven leadership and team management skills. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards). Confident in medication administration. Strong organisational and communication skills. Compassionate, approachable, and committed to delivering excellent care. Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota. Please note: We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.06 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
