Sanctuary Care Homes is an expanding and leading support provider in South East London, we specialise in working with

young people. We are a friendly team who are dedicated and passionate about the high quality support provided to our

young people. We are currently recruiting for a

Team Leader to maintain and support the development of our service. As a

Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our operations. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of employees, overseeing day-to-day activities, and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction. Your strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and ability to work well under pressure will contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Shifts 40 hours per week,

(8) hours shifts, 5 days a week and some on call duty responsibility for alternative weekends.

Roles & Responsibilities

The

Team Leader has responsibility for assisting the Service Manager in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Service at all times.

To manage and lead the care team, providing support and guidance.

To monitor staff through supervisions and appraisals.

To support staff with regular training to assist with service delivery.

Deliver an out of hours on-call for the service, where required.

Ensure that all safeguarding cases are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Service Manager, as appropriate.

Ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times and to uphold all health and safety responsibilities within relevant policies and local protocols.

Adhere to all the policies and procedures, including any statutory requirements.

Ensuring good communication between staff by holding regular team meetings, and additional briefings as necessary.

Assisting with the recruitment and inducting of new staff.

Essential Requirements

Team player.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

IT literate.

Able to lone work.

Use sound judgement.

Common sense and own initiative.

Passionate and empathetic.

Car Driver (Preferred)

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must have NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent qualification.

At least 1 year of Team Leader experience or several years of experience as a Senior Support Worker.

Experience of working with young people with high risk of CSE, CCE and complex needs.
