We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Team leader with experience of working with homelessness, substance misuse and mental health in our supported housing units across South Shields. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by providing essential administrative, staff development and operational support. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively internally with colleagues and externally with commissioning and regulatory bodies. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 software is essential.
Duties
Assist in daily administrative and data collection tasks to ensure the efficient delivery resident support operations.
Provide staff supervision, appraisal and identify CPD opportunities for Housing support staff.
Coordinate housing management and compliance procedures
Ensure all residents understand the terms of their license agreement and risk assessed prior to their induction.
Maintain accurate records and documentation using bespoke Microsoft platforms.
Respond to inquiries from residents and staff, providing information and assistance as needed.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of high quality, compliant service delivery within a supported housing setting.
Skills
Advanced behavioral change skills and knowledge of therapeutic interventions that are evidence based.
Ability to coproduce a SMART support plane with some of the most disenfranchised members of the community who find themselves homeless and who may be suffering mental health and drug/alcohol addiction problems.; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Excellent organisational skills with a focus on attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
