Overview


We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to oversee our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for guiding your team to ensure smooth operations, maintaining high standards of products and quality, and fostering a positive work atmosphere.

Working Hours are Week 1 05.30 - 14.00 Week 2 13.30 - 22.00 (Double Days)

Duties



Effect high standards in Health & Safety, Quality, cost efficiency and on-time delivery. Ensure best practice manufacturing methods are adopted & continuously improved. To ensure all employees are wearing the correct PPE and are complying with UK Health and Safety Regulations. Ensure full compliance with quality standards, training & shopfloor discipline. Responsible for full data entry into the Counterplas 'InTouch' system. To support, instruct, coach and develop team members as required. Establish good working relationships throughout the business Reporting of key Health and Safety / HR issues on a timely basis. Distribution of Quality packs for production startups. Communication of escalated quality concerns (production - quality) Submission of last offs (ensuring full machine clean down, prior to the commencement of the next production order) Ensure full machine cover during the working shift (break time management) Supporting the machine operators, ensuring all WIP/ BIP parts are delivered to the machine, eliminating machine downtimes Ensure the operators are fully trained for any issued tasks. Ensure all rejected parts are correctly disposed of into the correct reject bins Supporting the management team in achieving set targets/ Kpi's Supporting the introduction of the shop floor 5s system Ensure full start up procedure is adhered to Full handover to the oncoming shift.

Excellent standards of production leadership, 'hands-on' shop floor presence, strong communication skills, people management and personal discipline. Demonstrate a good positive attitude, lead by example and resolve problems quickly. Shop floor discipline and standards. 5S Housekeeping >80%. Zero accidents. Labour efficiency >125%. Machine performance >80%. Internal scrap <3%. On-time delivery >10%
Establish good working relationships with production, maintenance and other key members of the factory team. Adhere to all instruction set by Shift Manager.
