Team Leader

This role offers a clear progression pathway toward becoming a
Deputy Manager
and eventually a
Registered Manager
, with support to complete the
Level 3 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care
and relevant
Train-the-Trainer
qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Support, lead, and motivate a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
Carry out supervisions, spot checks, and competency assessments of care staff
Support the creation and review of care plans, risk assessments, and daily records
Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff
Work hands-on in the community, where required, supporting service users with a range of needs
Build positive relationships with service users, families, staff, and external professionals
Assist with rota management, audits, and compliance checks
Step up to cover management duties when the Deputy or Registered Manager is unavailable
Be proactive in problem-solving, responding to incidents and escalating concerns appropriately
Attend training and be willing to train others as part of our quality improvement approach
Requirements
Previous experience in social care (ideally in domiciliary or supported living settings)
A caring, confident leader with a strong team ethic
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Willingness to complete or currently working towards a
Level 3 Diploma
in Health & Social Care
Commitment to complete
Level 5 Diploma
in Leadership and Management (if not already achieved)
Willing to complete
Train the Trainer
qualification (e.g. manual handling, medication, safeguarding)
Able to use initiative and remain calm under pressure
Passionate about developing a career in care and management
