We actively challenge unsafe practices and take responsibility for addressing risks, resolving issues and protecting safety and wellbeing.Brief DescriptionFrom establishing safety arrangements to checking the quality of work, you'll direct and inspire the success of a team involved in everything from inspection and faulting, through to maintenance and renewal.More about Works Delivery Track ....You'll be managing a team that is responsible for maintaining, inspecting and repairing the track network (also known as the Permanent Way or P-Way) to keep the railway safe and efficient. This is a very manual role as you'll be working with rails, sleepers and ballast that support the trains, together with their associated drainage and ancillary structures.Internal Candidates Please Note: There may be a requirement to work on call in this role if you opt to take the Standard Maintenance contract.As part of the application process, you will be required to complete some pre-screening questions. From inspection and faulting through to maintenance and renewal, you'll play a hands-on role. You'll make sure everything is done efficiently and to the highest standards. Safety will be a priority. You'll establish appropriate safety arrangements and make sure Network Rail staff and contractors alike follow safe systems of work. Proactively controlling and checking the quality of work and the competence of your people, you'll see to it that assets are fully compliant and all vehicles, plant, tools, equipment and materials are fit for purpose.
