Overview:



We are seeking a proactive and experienced Team Lead/ Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the warehouse operatives, leading by example while taking on additional responsibilities to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on but is ready to take on a leadership role with added responsibilities.

Reporting directly into the Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilties:



Hands-On Involvement:

Continue to pack orders daily and actively participate with the team in all warehouse activities.

Order Dispatch Management:

Ensure all orders are dispatched within Hutch SLA's, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve daily problematic orders, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.

Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and recommend to the Warehouse Manager any warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

Warehouse Maintenance:

Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and organised by the staff. Following Health and Safety guidelines.

Keyholder Duties:

Responsible for opening and closing the warehouse, ensuring security protocols are followed.

Carrier Collections:

Manage daily carrier collections to ensure smooth processes and all carriers have been and are accounted for.

Equipment:

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment for efficient material handling.

Holiday Cover:

Cover for the Warehouse Manger when on annual leave, with assistance of General Manager. (Would mean different shift of opening 7 closing 4 on these days)

Skills:



Fork Lift Truck License. Proven experience in a warehouse operative role, with a strong understanding of warehouse processes. Ability to lead and motivate a team, with a hands-on approach to work. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to manage keyholder responsibilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.

Training:



There will be full training in our systems and processes to ensure you can handle all tasks assigned as part of this role.

Schedule:



Tuesday to Friday (8.30-5.30), Saturdays (7am - 4pm). (1 hour unpaid Lunch)

Benefits:



30 days Annual leave plus Bank Holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 29,000.00 per year
