This is such an exciting time to join the team as we embark on a journey to create and deliver a whole host of different work streams, tackling many of the council's high priority areas.

Building on some existing skills support services, the team will work to develop and deliver a range of programmes, projects and campaigns to meet the employment needs, one of the key deliverables we feel will allow us to maintain a strong economy with a well skilled population.

The team will offer a number of support services, primarily supporting the residents of Warwickshire to gain high quality employment support, enabling job seekers to gain and sustain good quality employment.

About the Role



The ultimate goal of the service is to lead in creating a showcase of Warwickshire career opportunities and play a leadership role in shaping local employment programmes, ensuring they are inclusive and accessible to everyone.

The Employability Support Service leads on a broad range of support and whilst the service works with many employability and education providers, the team also work on a wide range of employment programmes which are needs led and support a number of Warwickshire's priority groups of people to gain the skills require to enter into paid employment.

The team's main ambition is to commission and deliver strands of Skills and Employment activity which ultimately supports Warwickshire residents to fulfil their career ambitions and become or remain economically independent.

The role of the Employability Team Manager is one with specific responsibility to play a strategic role in leading the service to be forward thinking, engaging and deliver a series of high-quality Employment and skills activity to all who engage in our work.

As Employability Team Manager, you will have many great qualities to bring to the role, all of which will be reflective of your substantial experience of working in Employability and Skills.

You will also be highly motivated, resilient and have a personal ambition to work in a strategic role which is both rewarding and offers an opportunity to positively impact people's lives.

Key Skills and Experiences



The successful candidate will be working with a wide variety of senior leads, employment and strategic partners and therefore 3 years' relevant experience would be essential, along with the ability to monitor multiple projects and programmes to ensure positive outcomes, extract key data and write reports to demonstrate impact.

A key requirement is the ability to identify key trends and respond by utilising knowledge of the current labour market, skills provision to build solutions-based programmes and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing landscape.
