To lead, manage and develop a team of Housing Support Officers in delivering high-quality supported housing services that promote tenancy sustainment, independence, and wellbeing for Caridon Foundation residents. The Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring compliance with organisational standards, driving performance improvements, and contributing to the strategic direction of the service.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of Housing Support Officers to deliver consistent, high-quality support to residents.
Conduct regular 1:1 supervision, team meetings, and performance reviews in line with company policies.
Identify training needs and support professional development across the team.
Oversee workload allocation, ensuring adequate cover and efficient management of caseloads.
Model strong leadership behaviours and maintain a visible presence across the service.
Service Management and Quality Assurance
Manage the operational performance of the service, ensuring KPIs and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Monitor service delivery through audits, case reviews, and feedback to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
Implement service improvement plans and contribute to strategic development.
Oversee void management, arrears, evictions, and tenancy sustainment rates, producing monthly performance reports.
Ensure accurate and timely use of internal systems such as Arthur, Nourish, and Plantific for recording, reporting, and monitoring outcomes.
Safeguarding and Risk Management
Take overall responsibility for ensuring safeguarding concerns are identified, reported, and escalated in line with Caridon Foundation's safeguarding policy.
Review and monitor housing support plans and risk assessments, ensuring these are regularly updated and embedded in daily practice.
Provide guidance to staff managing complex cases and act as escalation point for high-risk or safeguarding issues.
Stakeholder and Partnership Management
Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, referral agencies, and specialist support services to enhance service outcomes.
Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and promote Caridon Foundation's work within local networks and partnerships.
Engage with clients, staff, and partners to identify and implement service improvements.
Operational Oversight
Ensure the service operates within financial, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
Monitor rent accounts, Housing Benefit claims, and related financial processes to minimise arrears and ensure timely claim submissions.
Support recruitment and induction of new staff and volunteers.
Manage complaints, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution in line with policy.
Oversee maintenance escalations and follow-up to ensure safe and well-maintained accommodation.
Reporting and Performance
Produce regular reports on service performance, outcomes, and risks for senior management.
Use data and feedback to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Ensure accurate completion of all required documentation, records, and statistical returns.
Communications
Maintain clear, professional communication with staff, residents, and external stakeholders.
Contribute to internal communications including newsletters, case studies, and good-practice sharing.
Ensure information is shared appropriately, adhering to confidentiality and data protection legislation (Data Protection Act & GDPR).

Experience
Minimum two years' experience in a team leadership or supervisory role within housing, support, or related social care settings.
