This is an exciting opportunity to join our Mental Health Crisis Services at a time where we are revolutionising crisis care through development of responsive, community-based support, aiming to reduce hospital admissions and attendance at the Emergency Department. The post holder will provide Team Management for our 2 Health-Based Places of Safety (HBPoS) based in Redruth and Bodmin, our existing Mental Health Crisis Hub, and the development of a Psychiatric Clinical Decisions Unit (PCDU).
Your role as Crisis Assessment Team Manager will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the service. Your leadership will be imperative in continuing to drive change and supporting in the development of additional services, aiming to provide a range of alternatives that offer compassionate, timely and high-quality care.
The post holder will take lead role in the management and ongoing development of the East and West Health Based Place of Safety, Mental Health Crisis Hub and development of a Psychiatric Clinical Decisions Unit.
To deliver management within their defined area of responsibility ensuring that these services meet the requirements and targets agreed with the Trust, working in partnership with a range of key stakeholders.
To assume operational and clinical responsibility for multi-disciplinary allocated staff teams and the management and provision of quality evidence-based intervention, advice, support and care for services users with mental health and social care needs and their carers within the clinical area. The teams are identified in the job title of this job description.
To be instrumental in the on-going development of services and practices that provide high quality assessments and efficient referral management processes.
Responsible for ensuring the service has a multi-disciplinary and decision-making function within the team and that all appropriate policies and protocols are in place and complied with.
To work with the Operational Lead and Operational Manager to ensure that financial viability is maintained.
