Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team to ensure effective delivery of social and healthcare services. Oversee the assessment of needs and risks, ensuring safety planning aligns with relevant legislation, guidance, and procedures. Implement relationship-based principles and employ systemic social work, signs of safety, and solution-focused approaches to foster positive change. Provide supervision, mentoring, and coaching to staff, students, and newly qualified social workers (NQSWs). Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, maintaining up-to-date documentation and records. Collaborate with children, families, and carers to develop and implement effective care plans.
Person Specification

Must have advanced operational knowledge and practice experience in assessing needs and risk, safety planning, and holding uncertainty. Experience in working with children, families, and carers using relationship-based principles and systemic social work approaches. Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, mentoring, and coaching, including previous students or NQSWs. Possess a valid registration with Social Work England and HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council). Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience in a relevant field. Ability to manage and verify compliance with all necessary legal and regulatory requirements.
