About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Manager to lead our Alternative Education and Short Breaks Brokerage Service.


As Team Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of children, young people, and their families. You will play a key role in service planning, staff development, budget management and statutory data returns, all while upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a team of frontline and professional staff to achieve service targets and deliver excellent outcomes. Resolve service delivery issues and drive continuous improvement. Supervise, support, and develop staff, fostering a culture of high performance and ambition. Manage and deploy assigned budgets, taking corrective action as needed. Build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation. Oversee the safe commissioning of services and ensure best value for money. Monitor and report on service performance, including statutory data returns.
