Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our Mexican take away, contributing to meal preparation, face to face customer service operating till system and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. the roll is for weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday but also to be flexible for cover during the week if needed . The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in hospitality with good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food items are prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Support the catering team during events, ensuring timely service and presentation of dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production. Participate in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking supplies as needed. Engage with customers when serving meals, providing excellent service and addressing any dietary concerns.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential. Experience in meal preparation, cooking, or catering is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 20 per week
