Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to ensure a positive dining experience. Prepare food items efficiently and accurately, following safety and sanitation standards to uphold food quality. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue through friendly suggestions. Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring food handling procedures meet health regulations. Assist in food preparation tasks including assembling orders, stocking supplies, and managing kitchen stations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of supply needs. Follow all food safety protocols related to handling, storage, and sanitation to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafes. Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices. Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling, sales totals, and inventory counts accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle fast-paced environments effectively. Experience in upselling menu items to boost sales while enhancing customer satisfaction. Basic kitchen experience including food prep, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Retail math skills for managing transactions, stock levels, and sales reporting.
