We're a vibrant new cafe and bar in Carlisle that blends art, food, and community, offering unique menu items like custom bubble waffles, specialty coffees, and fresh, handmade treats. Our space supports local artists and invites creativity. We're looking for a friendly, hard-working individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys interacting with customers.
As a Barista/Kitchen team member, you'll be responsible for crafting delicious beverages, preparing fresh food, and providing outstanding customer service. This role requires someone who's detail-oriented, efficient in a fast-paced setting, and passionate about quality food and drinks.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages to high standards Assist with food preparation, including custom waffles, light meals, and snacks Maintain a clean, organized workspace in both the cafe and kitchen areas Engage warmly with customers, taking orders and handling questions about our menu Ensure compliance with health and safety standards Participate in cleaning duties post-service, ensuring all equipment and work areas are sanitised.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred. Strong multitasking abilities Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed A positive attitude and willingness to help others within the team are essential traits for success in this role.
