Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food production and preparation. Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative environment. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Train new kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to guests. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining consistency in presentation and flavour.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a kitchen environment. Strong food production skills with an emphasis on quality and presentation. Excellent team management abilities, fostering a positive work atmosphere. Proficient in food preparation techniques across various cuisines. Exceptional cooking skills with a passion for culinary arts. Extensive kitchen experience, ideally within a restaurant setting. Culinary experience that showcases creativity and innovation in dish creation. A solid understanding of hospitality principles and guest satisfaction. Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate the kitchen team. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices to ensure compliance.
