Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and ensure all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing any concerns promptly. Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Support the team by helping with various tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining hygiene standards but not compulsory training will be provided. Previous experience in a cafe or hospitality setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment. Culinary skills or an interest in food preparation will be beneficial for this role. A friendly disposition with the ability to help customers feel welcome and valued. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while providing recommendations based on customer preferences.
