P.Y.O. -- Team Member



??We expect the roles to commence mid-January, the exact location of the site will be announced shortly but it will be in the Liverpool Street area.



We are looking for both FRONT OF HOUSE and KITCHEN Team Members.

1. Purpose of Role



To deliver exceptional guest experiences and uphold the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and service in line with P.Y.O.'s values.

Team Members are responsible for supporting daily operations across Front and Back of House, ensuring that every product, process, and interaction reflects our mission to offer nutritious, sustainable food in a professional and welcoming environment.

Team Members are the foundation of the P.Y.O. experience -- bringing energy, care, and consistency to every shift.

2. Core ResponsibilitiesService & Guest Experience (Front of House)



Deliver a warm and professional welcome to every guest, ensuring their experience is fast, friendly, and personal. Take orders accurately from customers, process payments, and communicate clearly to the team along the line. Prepare salads the P.Y.O. way, ensuring they meet the standards taught to you. Provide informed guidance on menu items, provenance, and allergens; upsell responsibly to enhance guest satisfaction. Prepare and serve juices according to recipes and visual standards. Maintain a clean, organised front-of-house area -- including counters, tables, condiment stations, and retail displays. Check in with guests during service to ensure satisfaction; escalate any feedback promptly to a Team Leader or Manager. Gain a good understanding of guest-facing systems such as online ordering channels and loyalty to inform guests if they have any questions.

Food Preparation & Kitchen Operations (Back of House)



Prepare, cook, and assemble dishes according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. Ensure food safety compliance at all times: correct temperature control, date coding, FIFO, and allergen segregation. Keep all kitchen areas clean and organised, following "clean-as-you-go" principles and daily hygiene schedules. Support accurate stock rotation, labelling, and storage; alert the Team Leader or Kitchen Manager to low stock or quality issues. Minimise waste by following portion control and preparation SOPs. Work collaboratively with FOH during peak periods to maintain smooth order flow and timing.

Operational Standards & Compliance



Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as trained. Maintain uniform and personal hygiene standards in line with company policy. Complete daily checklists accurately (temperature logs, cleaning schedules, waste sheets). Report maintenance or safety hazards immediately to a Team Leader or Manager. Understand allergen management policy and never guess -- verify every query through the system or supervisor.

Teamwork & Development



Support colleagues through collaboration, clear communication, and positive attitude. Engage in on-the-job training sessions and complete sign-offs within required timeframes. Accept coaching and feedback constructively, applying learning to improve consistency and performance. Contribute to a positive workplace culture that reflects P.Y.O.'s values of quality, sustainability, and care.

3. Communication



Communicate clearly and professionally with both Front and Back of House teams. Escalate any operational, guest, or safety issues promptly to the Team Leader or Manager. Participate actively in team briefings and debriefs. Share relevant shift updates via Zenzap, Logit, or verbal handovers as required.
