About the role

We're looking for friendly, creative, and reliable people to join the team at

Marie's Tearoom & Emporium

, based on Gravesend High Street.

This is a varied role working across both of our lovely neighbouring venues -

Marie's Tearoom

and

Marie's Emporium

- where you'll provide great customer service, help with day-to-day operations, and get involved in

social media and TikTok content creation

.

You'll spend around two days per week in each venue, supporting both retail and hospitality tasks and helping showcase what makes Marie's so special.

Duties and responsibilities

In the Tearoom:

Welcome customers and take orders with a smile Prepare and serve drinks, light meals, and sweet treats Handle payments accurately Maintain a clean and inviting environment Support afternoon teas and small events

In the Emporium:

Assist customers with gifts, crystals, and handmade products Operate the till and restock displays Keep the shop looking beautiful and well presented

Social Media & TikTok:

Capture and create engaging content for posts and videos Help promote new products, seasonal displays, and special events Bring fun and creative ideas to showcase both venues online
(Training and guidance will be provided - enthusiasm and creativity are key!)

About you

Friendly, approachable, and confident with customers Reliable and flexible, with weekend availability Comfortable using social media and happy in front of or behind the camera Enjoys variety and being part of a small, supportive team Previous hospitality, retail, or social media experience is helpful but not essential
