Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic

Team Member

to join our dynamic team within Urban Chocolatier Walthamstow. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills, gain restaurant experience, and work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be integral to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations within our establishment. Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Prepare food and bar items according to company standards and recipes, ensuring quality and presentation. Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing excellent customer service at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management to ensure availability of ingredients and supplies. Upsell menu items and specials to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly approach. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery. Follow all food safety protocols and hygiene standards diligently. Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and portion control. Experience with kitchen equipment and culinary techniques is desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with customers and colleagues. Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability. Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
