Job Introduction

We're looking for a Team Scheduler with an attention to detail to manage the visiting schedules across our fast-paced Reablement Service using an electronic system. Working a five-day shift pattern including weekends, you'll ensure all support visits are covered and resource schedules are accurate and up to date. You'll work closely with Team Co-ordinators and the Registered Manager as well as the wider team and health personnel to ensure the scheduling system reflects care plans and risk assessments, be able to manage changes due to absences, planned leave and maintain clear records in line with CQC and Milton Keynes City Council policies. You'll also support training coordination and use system reports to provide data for service analysis. The role requires autonomy and the ability to manage large amounts of information as well as being able to raise any issues in a timely manner.


We're based in our Civic Offices and work collaboratively with CNWL and MKUH as well as the Hospital Discharge Social Work Team.

Role Responsibilities

Ensure care visits are scheduled in line with individual care plans and tailored to meet people's needs.
Confidently interpret and apply numerical and statistical data to support scheduling and reporting.
Manage the scheduling of support visits across the entire service using the Care For system, working a five-day shift pattern including weekends.
Maintain clear, concise, and accurate records, including departmental electronic systems and training logs, updated in a timely manner.
Coordinate and book team training, record absences, and keep the Registered Manager informed of any changes affecting service delivery.


Ideal Candidate

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding service environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with internal teams and external partners.
Enjoys working in partnership with others and building collaborative relationships.
Proven ability to work well within a team and independently, using initiative to solve problems and support service delivery.
Flexible and creative approach to work, with a passion for supporting the team and making the best use of staff resources.
Proficient in IT, with good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel).
Comfortable working in an office-based role with regular use of digital systems and records.
Able to manage deadlines and perform under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. If you are appointment to this role is subject to a Basic DBS check as part of the pre-employment process.

Package Description

We're seeking someone with great attention to detail to manage the online schedules for our fast-paced Reablement Service.


Our Reablement Service gives high-quality care to people recovering from a hospital stay, injuries or ill health, including home visits.



As Team Scheduler, you'll ensure all visits are covered, and that the team's resource schedules are accurate and up to date using electronic software.


This will mean working a five-day shift pattern including weekends, working closely with Team Co-ordinators and the Registered Manager to make sure the scheduling system reflects care plans and risk assessments.


You'll also manage changes due to absences, maintain clear records, co-ordinate training and provide data for the team to analyse.


This is a role for a self-starter who can manage large amounts of information, who is able to spot issues and raise them in a timely manner.


We work collaboratively with health partners (CNWL and MKUH) as well as the Hospital Discharge Social Work Team.

This is a Site-Based role at our city centre offices.
