We are a long-standing manufacturer of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) products, specialising in high quality formwork panels used in civil engineering and construction projects. What we are looking for:
Are you an experienced and hands-on leader with a background in composite and GRP manufacturing, we are looking for a proactive and motivated Team/Line Leader to join our production team and help drive performance, quality and safety on our shop floor.
In this role, you will lead a team of operators within a fast paced GRP production environment, ensuring that daily targets are met whilst upholding high standards of workmanship and workplace safety.
The Role:
Purpose:
To maintain the performance of the operations in line with daily/weekly production schedules, objectives ad targets.
To ensure compliance with EMJ policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure quality standards are maintained through measurement of pre-determined standards.
Ensure correct maintenance of equipment and tools and maintain housekeeping and cleanliness to agreed standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance of team members to the company's Health and Safety Standards.
Monitor quality of finished product, report substandard product immediately.
Give support to the Supervisor in production planning and utilisation of labour.
Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date and any manufacturing sheets are completed correctly.
Ensure workplace organisation of your area of responsibility.
Maintain an acceptable code of conduct at all times
Lead by example.
Effectively communicate at all levels.
Initiate right first-time objective.
Have an active roll in skill transfer, development and training of team members.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in manufacture of products
Communication at all levels (up and down)
Leadership
Problem solving, root cause analysis and decision making.
Minimum Requirement:
Working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team to achieve a common goal.

The role is predominately factory based
Safety boots are required within the factory and all other PPE required will be provided

Be organised and pro-active.
Have the ability to read and understand construction drawings
Excellent IT skills - MS Word, Outlook and Excel
