Role: Coach to deliver Tech/Cyber Apprenticeship Standards
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 dependent on experience and qualifications

The Development Manager (TDM) is an award-winning tech and digital training provider specialising in delivering Government-funded apprenticeships from beginner to degree levels and Skills Bootcamps for Pre-Apprentices. In addition to many small employer organisations, our larger client base include: Microsoft, Xbox, NHS, Severn Trent, West Midlands Police, etc. TDM supports learners with an individualised learning plan delivered by expert Tech & Digital Skills & Knowledge Coaches (who are the technical experts) alongside their counterpart Performance & Development Coaches as well as Academic Rigour Coaches. The company offers a wide range of programs in coding, cyber, digital marketing, data, AI, automation, cloud, networks, Microsoft, etc to support local employers in digitally transforming their workforce.
Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Tech & Digital Skills & Knowledge Coach located within commuting distance of Worcester or Birmingham with substantial work from home flexibility. Most work is delivered M-F, 9-5 but some flexibility is accommodated (whenever this also this advantages learners and their employers).
We offer highly competitive salaries across a range of salary bands. Higher salary bands require degree or masters degree level qualifications as well as teaching qualifications but TDM do invest into educational qualifications for our more contributory colleagues.
Qualifications
The Tech & Digital Skills & Knowledge Coach must have field experience, current knowledge / expertise and relevant qualifications in one or more of the following areas:
> Software Coding / Engineering
> Microsoft: Azure, Power Platform
> Tech and Networking
> Cyber Security
> Data Analysis
> Business IT Systems Analysis and Architecture
> Digital Marketing: analytics and data analysis, web design (including shopping carts), CRM, Graphic Design, Media production, etc.
Previous adult coaching, mentoring, teaching or managing experience is an advantage, but TDM will teach to teach (our way): i.e. Coaching, Training, Facilitating, Assessing, eModerating, Instructional Design, etc.
Ideal Candidate:
Required:
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant IT or Data related subject.
English and Maths at Level 2+ (i.e. GCSE grade C/4+).
Successful work experience within the technical field(s) which you will coach and train for at TDM.
A clear narrative around your natural hunger for continuous learning and development within the technical field(s) which you will coach in at TDM.
Is eager to quickly learn about and coach others in the use of a range of established and emergent Microsoft products, tools and resources, such as Copilot, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and GitHub Copilot, as well as their training and certification products.
Well-rounded knowledge of a broad range of the fundamentals of tech and digital as a minimum.
A history of training, teaching and/or coaching, providing interactive and engaging sessions and development opportunities to adult learners.
A passion for working with and fostering relationships with learners and their employers.
Strong project management and organisation skills to ensure each employer and each learner achieves what they're capable of.
Good writing, self-organisation and attention to detail skills.
Ability to deliver your own everyday work in line with TDM values and to communicate and instil those values with employers and learners from various backgrounds.
Ability to adapt to changing legislation, to multi-task and to use a variety of continuously evolving systems and processes as required.
Willingness to travel as and when required to teach or coach on site: travel and hotel expenses will be paid as needed.
Preferred:
A background in the apprenticeship sector.
Instructional Design / VLE Skills.
A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
