The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and self motivated Tech Ops Associate to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. This pivotal role is essential to the success of our cutting-edge technology, both for our company and our customers.
The ideal candidate should have a strong farming or animal science background along with a fundamental understanding and interest in dairy farming. The successful candidate will have dairy related education and/or experience working on dairy farms.
This role offers more than just a job, it's an opportunity to join a dynamic sector, work with meaningful, impactful technology and enjoy providing hands-on exceptional service to customers. Working with our robotic, vision-based and wearable sensor systems, you'll play a key part supporting our dairy installations, product development and providing exceptional customer service.
When international travel is required, it offers an opportunity to experience the dairy sector in diverse cultural and environmental settings, while contributing meaningfully to the global growth of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
Collaborate with global commercial and academic partners to explore, test, and refine our products and systems, ensuring they meet the real-world needs of users.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and supported at every step.
Engage directly with commercial and academic farmers and key stakeholders to help them unlock the full value of our solutions.
Clearly communicate the benefits of our products by understanding farming techniques and demonstrating how best practices can lead to better outcomes--both financially and operationally.
Work closely with Tech Ops, engineering, and data science teams to continually improve our systems, helping dairy farmers gain meaningful and actionable insights.
Collect, review, and validate animal behavioural data to support thoughtful and user-centred product development.
Help identify and nurture new business opportunities by sharing insights with existing and potential customers and paving the way for follow-up by the sales team.
Contribute to the 'Product Owner' team for the IDS Nurture Platform, helping guide product direction based on user feedback and practical insights.
Play an active role in shaping how the Tech Ops team supports customers -bringing forward ideas to improve tools, services, and experiences.
Stay curious and informed about new technologies and emerging trends that could benefit our work and our users.
Deliver training and support that helps both team members and customers feel confident using our products and systems.
Support the development and implementation of thoughtful, effective technical policies and processes that serve both our people and our customers.
What We're Looking For
Genuine enthusiasm for cows, dairy farming, and a strong interest in interpreting data to the increase animal health, welfare and productivity.
A formal qualification in agricultural science (or a closely related field).
A passion for building a meaningful career in the agriculture sector.
Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
Clear and confident communication skills--both written and verbal.
Ability to stay calm and think critically when challenges arise.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
Attentive to detail, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Skilled at managing multiple responsibilities and staying organized.
Willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional international trips as needed.
