Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced

Senior Project Manager

to lead a multi-year data transformation program within the financial services sector.


This strategic role oversees three critical initiatives--Party Data, Instrument Data, and Data Strategy--ensuring their successful delivery using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The position involves managing a globally dispersed team of over 36 members and engaging with senior stakeholders. Relocation to one of our primary office locations is required, with flexibility for hybrid working.

Responsibilities



Oversee the comprehensive delivery of the data transformation program, including Party Data, Instrument Data, and Data Strategy initiatives Drive SAFe implementation across all teams, facilitating PI planning and aligning program backlogs to ensure successful outcomes Engage as the primary contact for senior business and technology stakeholders, providing updates on risks, progress, and milestones Manage dependencies across workstreams and proactively mitigate risks to ensure program alignment and continuity Coordinate a distributed team across locations, ensuring effective collaboration and timely program execution Direct roadmap execution for each initiative, tracking milestones while ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to meet deliverables Maintain technical oversight of transformations, including legacy system decommissioning and modern AWS-based data architecture adoption

Requirements



Certified SAFe Agilist or SAFe Program Consultant with extensive hands-on experience in managing large programs using the SAFe approach Significant experience delivering complex, data-centric projects in the financial services sector Expertise in financial services, including knowledge of party data, instrument data (e.g., OTC derivatives), and trade lifecycle management Proven ability to lead and coordinate globally distributed teams of 30+ members across locations effectively Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to engage confidently with executive leadership

Nice to have



Background in technical areas, including AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Athena), API design (REST, GraphQL), and legacy platforms (C#, SQL, SSIS) Familiarity with modernization initiatives, including the decommissioning of legacy systems and cloud migrations Understanding of data strategy concepts such as reusable platforms, data quality frameworks, and varied ingestion methods like message buses Awareness of DevOps principles like CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, with a focus on fostering high-performing teams Experience managing cross-regional teams effectively and adapting to global program dynamics
