Exciting Opportunity: Technical Accounting Manager Role



Join Alliance in this newly created role as a Technical Accounting Manager, your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless audit process and maintaining financial accuracy.

We are seeking a

Technical Accounting Manager who is ACA/ICAS qualified,

preferably from a Big 4 firm. The role entails post-qualified audit experience at a manager level, specializing in supporting complex international group audits and delivering technical training. Experience in healthcare and private equity sectors is advantageous. Effective communication skills are vital for engaging with stakeholders at various levels. Proficiency in overseeing comprehensive IFRS consolidated accounting and reporting globally is a must. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in Excel - VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data manipulation, and presentation creation.

The key responsibilities of the Technical Accounting Manager



Provide technical accounting guidance to the Group Finance Director and CFO on complex transactions, acquisitions /divestments, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and IFRS adjustments.

Collaborate with auditors and finance colleagues to support audits, prepare technical accounting papers, and assist in the preparation of group and statutory accounts.

Lead quarterly reviews on brand and investments impairment, working closely with various departments to assess risks and opportunities in cashflow projections.

Conduct monthly financial reconciliations and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial reporting processes and controls.

Support internal audit teams with process documentation, accounting guides, and training on new standards.

Review monthly group consolidated financial statements and assist in the preparation of Board packs.

Collaborate with Treasury and FP&A teams for cashflow and P&L forecasting.

Assist in integrating future acquisitions into the Alliance finance systems and processes.
