Wood is currently recruiting for a Technical Advisor / Consultant Structual Integrity Analyst to join our team.

Wood\xe2\x80\x99s Structural Integrity Management team is a centre of excellence for Structural Integrity Management & Advanced Analysis, with extensive experience of delivering projects on a worldwide basis.

Due to increased workload and continuing expansion, we are seeking to appoint a Technical Advisor / Consultant Structual Integrity Analyst to join this highly respected, skilled, and motivated team.

Aberdeen preferred but remote working would be considered within the UK

  • Projects covering structural integrity management and advanced structural analysis of fixed and floating structures, structural engineering, concept and FEED studies, decommissioning, onshore civil and structural facilities
  • Develop strong client relationships, provide support to business development
  • Contribute to the development of our industry leading approach to Structural Integrity Management and Structural Analysis
  • Take responsibility for scope definition, scheduling, delivery and budget responsibility
Detailed Description
  • Performing structural analysis of jackets, topsides, and floating assets
  • Supporting offshore operations, structural assurance, major projects, life extension, and decommissioning activities
  • Providing emergency response cover
  • Inplace analysis and code compliance assessments
  • Pushover, redundancy and boat impact analysis
  • Fatigue analysis, and dynamic analysis
  • Blast and fire analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Seismic analysis
  • Linear and non-linear Finite Element Analysis
  • Reliability Analysis
  • Supporting wider group activities of Structural Integrity Management, Weight Control, and
  • Maintain and develop client, and 3rd party relationships
  • Enhance your expertise in this field, maintain knowledge of industry trends and innovations
  • Assist in development of internal processes and procedures
  • Scope definition, CTR preparation
  • Budget and delivery responsibility
  • Input to business development and the bidding process

Skills & Qualifications
  • Related Engineering Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Aeronautical or Naval Architecture degree (M.Eng \\ M.Sc \\ P.hD)
  • Extensive experience in industry standard analysis packages (e.g. SESAM, SACS, USFOS, ABAQUS and ANSYS)
  • Extensive experience in linear and non-linear Structural Analysis techniques
  • Sound understanding of structural behaviour
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Strong desire to learn, innovate, contribute to group and own individual success
  • Open and can-do attitude; and willingness to take on assigned tasks
  • Self-motivated team player with good people skills and personalities
