Technical and Production Associate

As our

Technical and Productions Assistant

, you'll be the backbone of our tech-focused YouTube channel keeping the tech running smoothly, supporting in many facets of video production, and helping ensure top-tier content reaches our audience.

If you're a multitasker with a knack for problem-solving, an enthusiastic interest in all things tech, creativity, and organization, this is your chance to be an essential force in digital production.

Key Responsibilities

Tech Research:

From time-to-time, we will need you to support the team with researching tech products, services or software.

General Operations & Logistics:

A key aspect of this role is ensuring that the relevant resources make their way to the studio, or wherever it may be needed for production. This role will be responsible for making sure that important items make their way to the relevant filming location, ready for research and production.

Testing Tech:

Physically test the new tech by following the research on the relevant products, gadgets or software. A significant bulk of time will be spent in testing the research and ensuring that it meets our criteria for maximum viewer experience.*

Production Support:

An important aspect of this role will be the in-person tech support, and troubleshooting in the studio or wherever the creative journey takes us. Support in set prep and ensure that everything is ready for shooting. Printing scripts, set preps, support with general prep for filming/shooting. Physically supporting with troubleshooting during filming and shooting.

Everything Tasks

Additional tasks may be asked to support the production of content.

In-Studio Support:

Keep studio spaces organized, manage inventory, and receive deliveries.

Skills and Competencies of a Successful Candidate:

Has a significant level of knowledge in consumer technology (Particularly smartphones, but also other main areas). Is a keen team-player and will support the team wherever needed to attain the end goal. Has a general to basic understanding of content creations, filming and the relevant steps in the production process. Is a systematic thinker, can troubleshoot and problem-solve on the fly.

Creating quality videos for our audience is extremely important to us, and we're really fortunate to be at a stage where we can take someone on permanently to help us achieve our goals.

Life at Hayls World

As mentioned earlier, no two days at Hayls World will be the same. Yes, you will be helping us resource and research, and then help us test the tech, but the tech will change. One day you will be helping with the newest exciting phone release, the next you're helping us uncover the secrets of AI, or maybe we all head off to London for a camera comparison shoot.

The everyday goal is quite simple though: Maximize the viewer experience.

Salary and Benefits

32 000 - 36 000 p/annum Monday to Friday - 40 hours p/week (Occasional Weekends and overtime may be needed) 28 annual leave days p/annum (including Bank Holidays) Pension Scheme Parking Space Included
