Job Description

Job Summary

: Technical Archiect
(Systems & Cloud Infrastructure, Tokenisation & Data Modelling)

Location:

Newcastle (preferred), or remote within Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, or Edinburgh

Salary:

60,000 - 68,000 + Stock Scheme & Revenue Share

Type:

Permanent | Full-time | Flexible & Remote Options

We are building a platform that redefines how land-based carbon data is measured, modelled, validated, and monetised. Our architecture is structured across two core systems, Nexora, a data-rich computational modelling environment, and Nexere, a live transaction and validation protocol designed to issue traceable tokenised carbon units through regulated infrastructure.

We're looking for a Technical Architect who can own and lead the full design of this system, from data ingestion and simulation, through to validation, token integration, and ultimately token redemption and retirement. This role carries influence across the entire spectrum of our approach and is central to shaping how the platform is built and delivered.

You'll have complete authority over the technical direction, and be expected to shape the tooling, architecture, and DevOps logic required for the long-term success of the platform.

Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership

Design, document, and implement a modular, scalable architecture across the Nexora (modelling) and Nexere (transaction) systems. These must operate independently, with distinct data handling approaches and computational footprints.

Token & API Infrastructure

Lead the integration pathway into Alphaledger, our token storage and regulatory compliance partner. You will manage the interface and logic layer that enables credit issuance and storage, including interaction with validator nodes.

Compression & Data Strategy

Define a compression and packaging standard to bridge high-density simulations (e.g. species-level environmental models) with light, reliable data payloads suited to real-time network interaction. You'll choose tools and strategies that support long-term performance and low-latency needs.

Modular System Design

Plan and structure the system into interoperable components using open standards and a layered, extensible protocol. Internals of operation will remain proprietary, but technical and compliance interfaces must be standards-based.

Security & Compliance

Implement and maintain security frameworks that ensure data integrity, validator transparency, chain-of-custody tracking, and audit readiness in line with regulated environments.

DevOps & Infrastructure Planning

Define the infrastructure strategy and buildout logic using Feature/Function Requirements (FFRs). Ensure clear documentation and scalability planning across environments and deployments.

Team Collaboration

Work with our in-house UX designer to ensure that all interfaces, internal and external are human-centric. Support development teams with high-level system logic, devops guidance, and technical mentorship.

Team Buildout

Support the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of technical hires aligned to the system's architecture and technology stack. Help shape role definitions and team structure using modular feature/function logic to ensure delivery consistency and long-term scalability.

What You Will Bring

Deep experience designing scalable cloud systems, ideally across both simulation-heavy and transaction-critical domains Confidence in defining data strategies, compression standards, and transport protocols across edge and core systems Experience working with or integrating tokenisation platforms or blockchain-based validation systems A strong point of view on language and tool selection forward-leaning, efficient, and fit for high-throughput needs (we are not looking to build in Java) Understanding of validator infrastructure, governance layers, and compliance logic tied to regulated token environments Experience in modular, standards-based architecture (microservices, API-first, event-driven, or domain-driven) Strong collaboration experience with UI/UX and Product to shape user-facing systems Awareness of real-world DevOps strategy and infrastructure planning including deployment pipelines, observability, and performance profiling

Desirable (but not required)

Direct experience in environmental data modelling, decentralised storage, or digital asset issuance Exposure to white-labelled wallet integration or open finance infrastructure Certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure Familiarity with functional or reactive programming paradigms
Join us as we strive to build innovative solutions that transform our business landscape. If you are passionate about technology and eager to make a significant impact, we would love to hear from you!
