Job Overview


We are seeking a graduate architect to join our team providing low carbon renewable energy systems to help people reduce energy consumption. The role involves understanding how buildings fit together in order to design bespoke heat pump, solar panel and heat recovery ventilation systems.

Duties



Carry out heat loss calculations, design heating systems, assess solar panel layout designs, prepare ducting layout drawings. Visit site meetings to discuss projects requirements with architects, builders and homeowners. Schedule and coordinate installation teams to book in visits to sites and carry out quality assessment. Liaise with customers? to discuss suitability for heat pump and solar systems and explain various technical aspects and options available. Check product information reading data sheets and installation manuals to understand specific product requirements. Prepare plant room 3D layouts to ensure their space available for equipment. Advise customers on the planning process and any government incentives or subsidies they can benefit from. Reviewing proposed plans to understand and advise option for retrofits in terms of insulation and air tightness and ways to reduce energy consumption. Ordering materials from suppliers and liaising with them on delivery times and availability of products. This is a hybrid roll combining working from home and visiting sites across London.

Experience



University graduate degree in architecture. Work experience on-site in a construction environment to understand various trades and the building process Knowledge of preparing drawings plans, elevations, sections and details. Interest in building services design looking at how to reduce energy consumption by good design. Good people skills, able to communicate with people from different backgrounds. The role requires good organization and managing your own independent work.

Pay: 32,000.00-40,000.00 per year
