Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the Technical Manager in ensuring product and process quality through routine inspections, testing, and documentation. This role is responsible for assisting in quality checks across production and operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities



Filing and Archiving Printing out production records daily to employees for completion. Quality checks of the records after being handed back to Technical. Report problems if any. Collect the HACCP records weekly and check each record for compliance. Report problems. Update Date code sheets/stock checks daily. Keeping suppliers' databases up to date (Due diligence, specifications and certification). Keep the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) database up to date. Conducting traceability exercises when required. Carrying out induction training and policies trainings for new staff members. Monitoring recipes compliance. Preparation of environmental swabs and collecting samples as directed by the TM. Carrying out research and case investigation when required to assist the TM handling complaints, product development, etc. Gas volume checks and reporting problems. Updating labels, floor plans, bar codes as per the TM instructions. Taking minutes for technical meetings as required and issuing relevant reports. Daily temperature checks. Monthly Audits/Glass & Hard plastic audits/Probe calibrations/Plaster checks/Weight checks.

Qualifications:



Diploma or Bachelor's degree in related field. 1-3 years of experience in a technical or quality control role, preferably in a food manufacturing or production environment. Basic knowledge of quality assurance standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, or relevant industry standards) Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic data recording/reporting tools. Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes. Certifications (HACCP Level 2/3, Food Safety Levels preferred)
Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Work Location: In person
