We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to support our food production and safety operations. This role involves assisting with daily technical procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and supporting the maintenance of equipment. Duties

Assist in implementing and maintaining HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards Support daily food production activities, ensuring processes adhere to quality and safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues or hazards Assist with cleaning, calibration, and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment Record data accurately using basic maths skills for quality control documentation Collaborate with team members to optimise food safety practices across production lines Contribute to ongoing training sessions on food safety and hygiene standards Support the implementation of new procedures or process improvements as directed by senior staff

Experience

Previous experience or training in food safety or food production environments is advantageous Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge or experience with machinery maintenance is beneficial Basic mathematical skills for data recording and quality checks Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and hygiene standards is preferred Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-14.50 per hour
