An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Assistant in our busy drawing office. Based out of our head office in Talke, Staffordshire you would be required to produce technical drawings for projects to the exacting standards of the company within Education, Health, Defence, Commercial and Industrial sectors both within the UK and Europe

Responsibilities:

Support the Technical Director with the design and completion of technical drawings in 2D layout plan for project quote allocation throughout the week. Using our purpose-built CAD package (Vectorworks) to produce layout plans for the shelving and storage environment on a commercial level. Supporting our internal and external sales team with technical input and knowledge. Assisting our external sales team with site surveys and the final issue layout plans for production. Compiling production issue drawings and works orders to meet sales order deadlines. Dealing with customer technical queries and assisting our installation teams on a drawing or technical level.

Skills:

Ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines

IT literate with strong administration skills

Strong people management and relationship building skills

Excellent communication and organisation skills

Full UK driving licence

Experience of AutoCAD (2D & 3D) or similar drawing packages such as Vectorworks would be an advantage, although training will be provided.

Engineering background an advantage

Space planning design knowledge
