About the Role


We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Business Support professional to join our team. This is a key supporting role within the business, focused on maintaining high standards across internal systems, documentation, and compliance. You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure business processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with our quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the operational effectiveness of a growing engineering consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:



Review and edit internal technical documents and engineering reports to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Support the QA Manager and Health, Safety & Environmental Manager with legislative and compliance documentation. Collaborate with the Proposals & Marketing Manager to support proposal writing and manage social media content. Maintain and organise project folders in accordance with the QA manual and internal procedures. Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and process controls. Provide general administrative and operational support to the Business Manager across various functions.
This is a permanent full-time position, subject to a probationary period.

You are organised, methodical, and confident working across a variety of tasks and departments. You take pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoy improving systems and processes. You're a self-starter who communicates clearly and works well both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Requirements:



Minimum 2:1 degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technical Communication, Literature, or a related discipline Proven experience in a business support or administrative role, ideally in a technical or engineering environment Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to review and edit technical documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills Good understanding of document control and quality assurance processes Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Ability to work across departments and manage multiple priorities Familiarity with auditing processes and maintaining compliance documentation Professional, proactive, and adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset Legal right to work in the UK
