About the Role



We are looking for an experienced and creative

Technical Candle Maker & Product Educator

to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about home fragrance and teaching others how to create their own products. You'll use your technical expertise to make candles, wax melts, room sprays, and other home fragrance items while also producing educational content -- from step-by-step guides to videos -- to help our customers confidently use our products.

Key Responsibilities



Product Creation & Demonstration

Produce candles, wax melts, room sprays, and other home fragrance products to demonstrate techniques and product capabilities. Conduct

burn tests

to showcase correct wick selection, safety, and performance. Maintain accurate

testing records

and documentation for customer reference.

Customer Education

Create written guides, recipes, and troubleshooting tips for beginners and hobbyists. Produce and appear in engaging tutorial videos and product demonstrations for our website, social media, and marketing campaigns. Provide technical advice to customers via email, website content, and occasionally in person.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure all demonstrations and guides comply with CLP labelling requirements, IFRA standards, and (ideally) UFI guidance. Translate compliance knowledge into

clear, beginner-friendly instructions

for customers.

Website & Content Support

Assist with adding educational resources, product listings, and blog posts to our e-commerce website. Work with the marketing team to ensure educational content supports product launches and seasonal campaigns.

Collaboration

Liaise with marketing to develop content calendars for tutorials, tips, and seasonal making ideas.

Key Skills & Experience



Proven experience making home fragrance products, especially candles, wax melts, and room sprays. Strong knowledge of CLP regulations, IFRA standards, and ideally UFI requirements. Experience conducting and recording burn tests for safety and performance. Confident on camera with the ability to explain technical concepts in a friendly, easy-to-follow way. Creative with strong attention to detail. Website administration experience (Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar). Experience making soap, bath bombs, or other cosmetics (desirable). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
