Programme Coordinators (Women and Girls & Sports Participation Department)
Description:
The Leeds United Foundation is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, self-motivated and dedicated centre managers to lead on safeguarding, safety, and operational management during all technical centre sessions both Girls Only sessions and Mixed football sessions, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high-quality environment for all participants and staff. This role combines responsibility for safeguarding and first aid, operational oversight, staff support, and maintaining high coaching standards in line with the club's values.

Main areas of responsibility:
Safeguarding & Safety
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead during all sessions.
Serve as the First Aid Lead, ensuring the first aid kit is fully stocked, accessible, and replenished as needed.
Report all safeguarding and health and safety concerns immediately via internal reporting systems.
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children and staff.
Operational Management
Maintain the work phone and respond to calls in line with established procedures.
Audit, store, and account for all coaching equipment before and after each session.
Report missing or damaged equipment promptly and arrange replacements with the Site Manager.
Ensure the centre is set up and closed down safely and professionally each day.
Keep accurate registers, incident forms, and all other required documentation up to date.
Staff Support & Development
Schedule and conduct regular 1:1 check-ins with casual staff to support development and address any issues.
Attend regular 1:1 meetings with the Site Manager to review centre performance and staff wellbeing.
Provide on-the-ground feedback and coaching support to the team.
Session Delivery & Standards
Ensure all sessions are inclusive and meet the needs of participants and stakeholders.
Deliver session plans in line with the coaching blueprint to the highest standard.
Monitor and support coaches to maintain quality and consistency in delivery.
Ensure each Technical Centre has the correct branding.
Communication & Reporting
Report to the Programme Co-ordinator after each session.
Act as the main point of contact for casual staff at the centre.
Communicate staffing or operational concerns to the coordinators promptly.
Maintain clear communication across the team to ensure safety and consistency.
Expectations
Be punctual, prepared, and professional at every session.
Model enthusiasm, ownership, a child-first approach, and uphold the club's values.
Upload "Player of the Week" content to the WhatsApp chat after sessions (in HD).
Conduct weekly equipment checks, with formal audits completed monthly, and report any issues to the Site Manager.
Person Specification
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
FA First Aid qualification & FA Safeguarding Children Qualification
DBS
Safeguarding training and knowledge of child protection procedures
Experience delivering high-quality, inclusive coaching sessions
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a lead coach or centre management role
Knowledge of the Leeds United Foundation football pathways.
Experience mentoring or supporting coaching staff
