Technical Content Developer - Sheffield This is a challenging role combining software development with technical communications, creating engaging technical content in order to drive commercial interest in this outstanding company\'s commercial software. As part of the technically-focused Sales and Marketing team you will be responsible for proactively creating tools, examples, demonstrations, PoCs and MVPs, to both illustrate the advanced capabilities of product lines, and to improve the getting-started experience for client software developers seeking to evaluate and assess the technology for their specific requirements. As a Technical Content Developer you will be expected to create technical blogs, images, videos and other marketing content for public distribution and will be responsible for communications implementation and strategy. As a minimum this will involve: * Managing the websites, creating and posting new material such as news items and blogs. * Developing targeted content for different industry verticals. * Developing basic knowledge of tools such as Adobe InDesign and Illustrator for design and layout of brochures, fact sheets etc. * Generating and posting content for social media, particularly LinkedIn. * Managing the CRM including adding new contacts. * Designing and running CRM-based email campaigns on a regular-basis, approximately 8 \xe2\x80\x93 12 per year. * Monitoring and publishing metrics relating to CRM and social media campaigns. The company exhibits at, at least, two international trade shows each year. Your role will involve management of the exhibits at these trade shows including: * Liaising with the trade show organisations * Working with external agencies to agree and execute booth design and layout * Liaising with contractors on the ground to ensure the exhibit goes ahead smoothly * Ensuring all deadlines are met The successful candidate will: * Have a 2:1 or higher degree * Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision * Be confident and able to build and maintain good relationships with prospects, partners, agencies and contractors at all levels. * Be quick at thinking on their feet and innovative in working to find on-the-spot solutions. * Demonstrate the ability to grasp and work with complex mathematical and geometrical concepts * Understand and implement good software practices including SOLID principles Relevant skills and experience: The following are essential: * Strong written and verbal English language skills. * Good attention to detail. * Technical writing skills including proofreading and the ability to create engaging content. * Sufficient mathematics to understand 3D modelling principles, vectors, matrices, geometry. A balance of the following skills will serve the successful candidate well \xe2\x80\x93 not all are essential. * Software development using C, C++, C#, WPF * 3D software development * OpenGL, DirectX, WebGL * HTML/CSS * Adobe InDesign, Illustrator * Other Graphic Design tools * 3D modelling tools e.g. Blender Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
