Arden Technical Partners are working with a leading engineering and fabrication company supplying custom-built metalwork and process equipment to various industrial sectors. Role Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Contracts Engineer to join our client's team near Walsall. This position is key to managing the full lifecycle of engineering projects--from initial enquiry through to completion--ensuring all technical, commercial, and scheduling objectives are met. The role involves providing technical guidance, supporting manufacturing processes, and maintaining effective communication between departments and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and process project enquiries. Analyse enquiries to determine material, labour, consumable, and tooling requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for accurate quotations. Prepare detailed quotations and estimate man-hours. Process client purchase orders and raise internal orders for materials and subcontracted services. Review and monitor project budgets and costs. Create and issue comprehensive work packages to production. Distribute project documentation to relevant departments. Liaise with QA and Production to ensure project milestones are achieved. Track and report contract progress and performance. Follow up on quotations and gather client feedback. Prepare dispatch and invoicing documentation. Provide technical clarification and support throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in the design of bespoke jigs and fixtures. Support the integration of new machinery and equipment into production.

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical or engineering environment. Level 3 or higher qualification in engineering (or equivalent experience). Strong grasp of core engineering principles. Practical understanding of trigonometry in engineering applications. Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and 2D CAD software. Due to UK Government security clearance requirements, applicants must be British nationals eligible for UKSV vetting.
