Technical Co-ordinator
to join our dynamic construction team and play a key role in taking developments from concept through to site delivery.
This role would suit someone from an architectural or residential construction background who wants to see their work built on the ground not just on paper.
Role Overview
As a
Technical Co-ordinator
, you'll work closely with the Technical Director and wider Design, Planning, Commercial, and Site teams. You'll be responsible for managing external consultants, securing approvals, discharging planning conditions, and ensuring accurate technical information is delivered to the site on time, on budget, and to spec.
Key Responsibilities
Manage consultants to deliver technical information in line with programme and fee budgets
Coordinate production of working drawings and ensure compliance with planning approvals and building regulations
Prepare and maintain technical design programmes and attend internal project review meetings
Oversee statutory approvals, including building control, utility connections, road and sewer agreements, and NHBC submissions
Support the discharge of planning and technical conditions to allow timely site starts
Manage and monitor professional fees and maintain up-to-date cost tracking and reporting
Collaborate with Commercial and Site teams to ensure buildability and value engineering opportunities are captured
Attend regular site meetings and provide ongoing technical support during construction
Coordinate the preparation and approval of brochure plans, conveyance plans, and sales area drawings
Provide timely responses to technical queries from the site and resolve any emerging issues
Ensure that all work is compliant with company procedures and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
Qualification in a construction-related subject: Degree, HND/HNC or Architectural Technology, or Construction
Technical experience within housebuilding (either with a developer or consultancy)
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and utility/statutory requirements
Proficient in reviewing and coordinating architectural and engineering drawings
Comfortable working across multiple disciplines and resolving challenges proactively
Strong communicator who works well under pressure and to deadlines
Familiarity with CAD-based software
Ability to manage consultants and third-party stakeholders to deliver results
