Role description:



To actively deliver and coordinate technical and operational support, with a primary focus on authoring, preparing, and managing Safe Systems of Work (SSoWs). The Technical Coordinator is hands-on in tool and equipment management, PPE and workwear administration, compliance tracking, stock management, and technical documentation. The role supports both field and office teams, manages day-to-day operations, and acts as the main liaison between the UK team and the factory.


Key tasks & responsibilities:




1 Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)





Author and prepare SSoW templates and job-specific SSoWs in advance, ensuring compliance with company SLAs.



Track and monitor SSoW process adherence and completion.


2 Tool & Equipment Management





Hire, off-hire, and manage tools, equipment, and lifting gear, ensuring suitability and readiness for each task.



Complete and track compliance, calibration, and maintenance for all tools, lifting gear, and plant.


3 PPE & Workwear





Administer, inspect, and record PPE and workwear, ensuring timely ordering, distribution, and replacement.



Maintain up-to-date records of PPE and workwear issue, inspection, expiry, and compliance.


4 Factory Liaison





Act as the main point of contact between the UK team and the factory, handling queries, monitoring dashboards, and providing updates.


5 Logistics Coordination





Organise and coordinate deliveries from suppliers, the factory, and to customers and field teams, ensuring timely and accurate logistics.


6 Stock Management





Monitor and manage van stock, engineer sundry items, and lock-up stock, maintaining accurate records and replenishing as required

.




7 Competency & Compliance





Maintain and update competency CVs for engineers.



Conduct vehicle inspections and audits.



Support the Head of Service & RRR in administering H&S Reports and Actions.




Qualifications & Competencies:



To be successful in this role you will have:



1 Strong administrative and organisational skills, with experience managing records, documentation, and compliance processes.



2 Confident using digital systems for uploading, tracking, and maintaining technical and operational information.



3 Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining logs, schedules, and compliance records.



4 Effective communicator, able to coordinate between teams and external partners.



5 Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy operational environment.



6 Full UK driving license.



7 IOSH Managing Safely qualification desirable but not essential--full training will be provided.
