Over the years Beechdean has added many regional brands of ice cream and sells a range of ice creams from value to the most indulgent products.

Overview of role:

Reporting directly to the Technical Manger the role will provide the Quality and technical team onsite with Administrative & organisational support in the day-to-day processes. To coordinate the supplier and raw material approval.

Working hours:

Monday - Friday 8am - 16:30pm (includes 30 minutes paid lunch break). Hours may be variable dependent on business needs.

Role & Responsibilities:

Day to day Management of the positive release system, releasing finished product and reporting any out of specification results to the QA Manager.

Manage the site's supplier approval system - send questionnaires out to suppliers / review with technical management. Ensure all GFSI accreditation, Allergen procedures etc are on file. Updating matrix when required. Support Technical manager with raw material risk assessments

Daily review of environmental and product testing results and report any out of specification results to QA Manager. Administration of micro results investigation.

Updating the finished product database with micro results daily.

QA Absence cover e.g holiday, sickness.

Conduct routine Traceability & Mass balance exercises.

Responsible for Technical training for site - Procedures / CCP's / Technical induction

Managing the training matrix, highlight to departments when training is needed.

Review and file production / quality paperwork.

Reviewing and amending procedures/forms/paperwork as required.

RSPO, RFA reconciliation checks.

Conducting internal audits against company and customer standards as required.

Raise NCRs where required, ensuring root cause and corrective actions are clearly identified.

Investigate customer complaints.

Support site for customer and third-party audits.

Support Technical with any additional tasks when required.
