To provide detailed design of air conditioning and ventilation systems for clients, including conducting on-site surveys and design workshops to demonstrate our product
Key Responsibilities & duties:
Attend/run site surveys, site meetings and client design workshops
Have a detailed understanding of building regulations, planning rules and permitted development rules relating to air-conditioning & ventilation systems
Ensure system design compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Develop detailed HVAC system designs using industry-standard software tools
Conduct heating/cooling load calculations and select appropriate equipment for heating, cooling, and ventilation
Create plant/ductwork layouts using AutoCad and specify components to ensure correct airflow distribution
Evaluate and optimise HVAC designs to maximise energy efficiency, sustainability and cost-effectiveness
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate HVAC systems into building designs
Carry out acoustic attenuation design, for internal fan coil units and external condenser units
Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase
Coordinate with other trades to resolve conflicts and ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems
Review project plans and specifications to ensure alignment with design intent
Create equipment schedules
Attend project handover meetings with the operations team to ensure the successful passing of design information
Skills / attributes required:
Mechanical engineering qualification
CAD software experience
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, proficiency of the English language
Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong project and analytical skills
Ability to travel as required
Desirable Skills / attributes: (Full training and support will be given)
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment and systems
Proficiency in HVAC design software and drawing programmes such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit etc.
