Technical Development Specialist (Driver Training)



Location - Roaming South East Region



40 hrs per week Mon - Fri



28,000 per annum + Company Car as travel is required for the role



Main purpose of job:



THIS ROLE IS IDEAL FOR AN EX TRADE PLATE DRIVER



To deliver BCA Logistics Technical Seminars, Operation Excellence Coaching and Audit functions to the agreed program & standard as directed by the Technical Development Manager. You'll be required to be strategic but flexible enough to react to business demand.

You will be responsible for delivering:

BCA Logistics Technical Seminar's across all profiles Delivering Job Coaching & Support to Drivers & Contractors in your region Providing data acquisition via hands on audits of inspection vehicles Providing support to other areas of BCA as directed
To be a successful applicant you will ideally have BCA Logistics process knowledge or experience aligned to this. You need to be passionate about improving performance and enabling people. You do not need to have specific training experience as support will be given; however you do need to be confident in leading and presenting to a group of people.

Main Responsibilities:



To deliver the BCAL Technical Seminar programs to the agreed standard where directed to both Self Employed Contractors & Employed Drivers in line with internal & external processes & requirements. To deliver consistent Operational Excellence Coaching to both Self Employed Contractors & Employed Drivers using agreed data forms to develop improvements in operation. To provide an inspection Audit function which highlights both the negative and positive elements against all inspections criteria and job types. Feedback through robust reporting to drive inspection standards to the agreed levels. To ensure a high standard of operation and professionalism is maintained and developed at all times. To assist the Technical Development Department in maintaining & developing new & existing delivery methods for Technical Seminars. To undergo a Continual Improvement Program in relation to your personal skills as directed by the Technical Development Manager. To ensure that all Operational facilities are in place as agreed via the TDS Manual. To ensure all administrative tasks are performed within agreed timescales and budgets, and to the agreed standard. Agree to the operation of the Technical Development Departments Audit process, and resolution agreed through the Continual Development Program as required. To ensure all operational budgets are adhered to, and reduced where possible, without limitations to delivery.

Required Skills:



Experience of vehicle damage identification or vehicle body shop experience. (Highly desirable/not essential) Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels of an organisation, and to motivate and develop individuals when necessary Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly Strong IT skills, including MS Office packages, as well as bespoke programs & applications. A strong customer-focused background Problem-solving and negotiation skills Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas Strong team working skills and a collaborative approach to learning, both face-to-face and remotely Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives Good time-keeping skills and the ability to multitask to enable you to effectively manage training schedules Proactive, enthusiastic and innovative approach to work Personal commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills and a passion for continuing learning and development. Ability to effectively manage high volumes of competing demand and priorities.
