Based in Manchester we're looking for a Technical Document Support Administrator to expand our Quality department. The Technical Document Support Administrator will assist the Test & Document Engineer in producing technical manuals for EDM. This will involve gathering photographs and documentary evidence for compilation into technical manuals used for end users, support and training. The role will therefore require close working with the Quality and Project Teams.

EDM design, manufacture and install specialist mechanical applications to a diverse client base. Duties and Responsibilities



- Assistance with researching, collecting and collating data for embodiment into EDM documentation.

- Work in assistance with the Product Test and Technical Document Engineer to achieve the level and quality of output required.

- Work under own initiative gathering photographs and documentary evidence for compilation into manuals.

- Support with writing and publication of EDM documentation required to support the business.

- Organisation of documentation amendment records and version control.

- Co-ordinate their diary to ensure documentation across multiple projects are delivered on time.

- Ensure the preservation of materials, data, drawings, etc used in the publication of EDM documentation.

- Carry out all activities in accordance with authorised instructions and ensure compliance with EDM Health & Safety requirements and any specific Local / Customer Health & Safety requirements.

- Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained within their work areas.

- Acquaint yourself with any safety issues relating to your activities and adhere to safe working procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment provided.

- Work in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance System and Company Procedures.

Key Requirements



- Experience of editing photographs would be preferred

- Knowledge of Adobe Suite or publication software

- Hands-on experience working in a technical discipline

- Ability to deliver high quality documentation, with a high level of attention to detail

- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures

- IT Literate including Microsoft Office

- High standard of Written English
