CutMy is growing fast, and we're looking for a detail-oriented Technical Drawing Specialist to join our Customer Experience team. This role sits at the crucial intersection between our customers and production team, ensuring custom orders are accurately interpreted, drawn, and prepared for manufacture.

You'll be the go-to technical expert for complex customer inquiries, translating hand-drawn sketches and customer ideas into production-ready CAD files, while ensuring designs are feasible within our manufacturing capabilities.

What you'll do

Review and process custom shape orders, interpreting customer drawings and specifications Create and refine technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator (or programme of your choice), exporting as DXF files for production Communicate with customers to clarify requirements, confirm designs, and manage expectations Sense-check customer-supplied vector files (.ai, .dxf) for production readiness Assess design feasibility based on material properties and machine limitations (CNC, Laser, Saw) Handle complex technical inquiries and provide expert guidance to customers Support general Customer Experience duties as needed Calculate and communicate design and manufacturing fees for custom projects

What we're looking for

Essential:

Working knowledge of technical drawings, including materials, tolerances and dimensions. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (or willingness to learn quickly) Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills with a patient, supportive approach Ability to quickly learn and understand technical concepts Calm demeanor when dealing with challenging situations Problem-solving mindset

Desirable:

Experience with CAD software Understanding of manufacturing processes Customer service or technical sales background Interest in developing sales skills
