Join Elmhurst Energy, the UK's building energy rating industry leader and scheme provider for energy assessors. As a Technical Energy Consultant in our Lutterworth HQ, you'll contribute to making buildings more sustainable and energy efficient, supporting the development of innovative software, competency schemes, training, and assessments.
What you'll do:
Lead and support the development of new services, schemes, and products in energy assessment
Collaborate across departments and with external partners to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions
Act as a project lead, managing delivery and stakeholder relationships
Provide technical expertise in energy assessment, contributing to a positive learning environment
Communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure understanding and progress
Champion Elmhurst's quality standards, innovation, and customer excellence
What we're looking for (must-haves):
DEA, OCDEA, NDEA qualification
or
strong demonstrable knowledge/expertise in energy assessment and EPCs
Proven communication skills -- both written and verbal
IT confident -- able to work fluently in digital/online environment
Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support and innovate
A-levels or equivalent (e.g. BTEC, NVQ Level 3)
Nice to have:
Experience/project work in the built environment, property, or construction sectors
Interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or energy-efficient buildings
Some experience in service, product, or scheme development (including software or training)
Project management or cross-team collaboration history
Degree or higher qualification in a relevant field
