The Role



Strategic & Technical Leadership



Define and execute the

technical strategy

for robotics development in the region. Ensure technical excellence across disciplines: robotics, AI/ML, computer vision, embedded systems, controls, electronics, and mechanical integration. Drive innovation while balancing reliability, safety, and defense compliance. Translate company strategy into actionable engineering roadmaps aligned with customer missions.

Organizational & People Leadership



Build, scale, and lead regional engineering teams across multiple disciplines. Recruit, mentor, and retain top technical talent in competitive environments. Establish a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop future leaders by providing coaching and growth opportunities.

Program & Delivery Management



Own delivery of regional engineering programs, from R&D through deployment. Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and risk management. Drive disciplined execution: systems engineering, testing, certification, and production readiness. Ensure compliance with defense standards, cybersecurity protocols, and export controls.

Cross-Functional & External Engagement



Collaborate closely with product, operations, and business leadership. Represent the company to defense partners, suppliers, and government stakeholders. Align local execution with global engineering practices and long-term strategy. Act as a visible leader in the defense robotics ecosystem within the UK.

Your Profile



Experience

in robotics, defense systems, or advanced engineering industries.

5+ years in a senior leadership role

(Director, VP, or equivalent), managing large technical teams. Deep technical expertise in one or more core areas (autonomy, teleoperation, AI/ML, embedded systems, mechatronics). Proven success delivering

production-grade defense or mission-critical systems

. Strong background in

systems engineering and multidisciplinary program delivery

. Demonstrated ability to manage

budgets, resources, and executive-level reporting

. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with

defense procurement, certification, and security clearance processes.

Background in

cybersecurity, safety-critical systems, or secure communications
